The Role
We are seeking a Senior-level QA Engineer to extend our current platform and expand its offerings. You will have the opportunity to work on our core ad exchange product suite that handles billions of requests/day, and processes terabytes of data/hour. Our innovative platform works with all major advertising exchanges and demand partners to help thousands of publishers monetize their content with the most relevant ads.
You will be part of a small team of dedicated QA engineers who have a comprehensive understanding of our product suite, autonomy over the testing methodology, and own the quality of our product releases. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and IT in an agile software development environment.
Our technology stack includes JavaScript/Node.js,Java, HTML/CSS, Ruby on Rails, Hadoop and related technologies.
You Will
- Develop well-structured test strategies and create detailed end-to-end test plans for new features and new products for our online publishing customers and their audience
- Manage test cases and test plans using test management tools
- Develop and execute functional, regression, and integration tests on web applications built using JavaScript, Java, and Ruby on Rails
- Test our products on desktop, mobile and tablet web
- Perform software releases, monitor application statuses and work with product teams to triage and identify bugs
- Implement automated tests using standard open source frameworks and incorporate them into the overall software quality assurance process
- Help improve our software testing methodology by adopting new tools and best practices
Our Ideal Candidate Has
- 5+ years of experience in testing web applications written in Java/JavaScript/HTML/CSS and/or Ruby on Rails
- Experience with using SQL for data analysis
- A good understanding of software testing practices and automation tools for desktop and mobile web
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Bonus Points
- If you have work experience in software testing for mobile web and/or online advertising or publishing industry
- If you have experience with at least one programming/scripting language used for automated testing (e.g., Ruby, Python, Perl)
